My name is Agnieszka J. Zak. I was born and grew up in Poland. I moved to USA in 1999.
I began my career in Art in 2001 working with Photoshop Pixel XL. Through the following years of my journey with Art I gained a lot of experience creating digital images, graphic design, digital art and photography. In 2008 I attended MCCC and majored in Fine Arts. The college gave me an amazing opportunity to explore Art in many ways from figure drawing, sculpture and my absolute favorite “painting”. One of my first assignments was to transform music into abstract painting. I felt like the brush in my hand was led by my soul and body and that was the day I discovered my calling and passion for LIFE. Since I was a kid, I was drawn to the night sky. I spent nights staring at stars and looking deep into the darkness of the unknown. The curiosity of what is up there and my love for abstract painting become a thing. I combined those two passions into one. I feel a strong connection with the Universe and beyond. Nowadays, all of my artwork represents a small portion of unreachable and unknown parts of the world from far, far away. Beautiful vibrant colors of gold, silver and copper reflect the light travels through the dark. Black, dominant color in my paintings represents the unknown. Heavy and dramatic texture brings this fascinating visual 3D effect of different worlds their character and diversity. Each of my paintings is like a souvenir from my travels throughout the Universe.
